Re-purposed towels & linen
To be honest I’d never thought of mending linen or even re-purposing it before. I would simply purchase new stuff and throw the old away without a second thought however I decided to have a look around and see what others do. We are trying to source sustainable living ideas so I’m having fun finding lots of these fantastic projects. Turns out lots of crafty people out there turn old into new.
When thinking of re-purposing Linen my 1st thought was The Sound Of music where the drapes become new clothes.
The thought of wearing drapes/curtains was a bit off putting at first for me however I soon came across some amazing ideas. (click the images to visit the links)

April 7, 2012 at 2:08 AMAnother great way of recycling linen and towels is to donate it to your local wildlife care group. Groups like WIRES are always in desperate need for old towels, pillowcases and sheets for houses kangaroo joeys and the like :-)
