Dyson Digital Slim™ vacuum cleaner

It’s here!! The Dyson Digital Slim™ vacuum cleaner arrived at our office yesterday! This handy little whiz machine is sure to help cut down some time dragging the old vacuum out for those regular little accidents the kids create. (or like this morning; great for office accidents like little paper circles everywhere from the hole punch). This cordless, no fuss, efficient little handheld beauty is not only light and handy but powerful.

As a mum with 3 children mess comes with the job! I can vacuum 3-4 times a day at home and having to drag that old vacuum out of the cupboard, pull out the cord, plug in somewhere and then constantly chase away my 12 month old makes it a nightmare of a job. With little hands about and electricity you can never be too complacent. I often put my son in his high chair to avoid him pulling on the cord as I vacuum. I’ll update over the next few weeks as I use it to let you all know how it goes but so far from first use it has definitely surprised me.

The Dyson Digital Slim convenient and definitely ”Mum-Efficient” by enabling you to quickly clean up those small messes when they occur rather than waiting for more mess before you vacuum. I actually haven’t had a handheld vacuum for years after going through several and finding them to have little to no suction power. I switched to a dustpan and broom but now I’ll reach for the Dyson and have it cleaned up before I could even un-clip the brush from the pan!

At the heart of the Dyson Digital Slim™ vacuum cleaner is the Dyson digital motor. It spins up to 3 times faster than conventional motors, and creates the most power-efficient cordless vacuum cleaner.

Unlike conventional cordless vacuums, the Dyson Digital Slim™ vacuum cleaner uses patented Radix Cyclone™ technology. It generates powerful centrifugal forces to spin dust and dirt out of the air and straight into the bin, without losing suction.

The Dyson Digital Slim™ vacuum cleaner has a detachable long reach wand to clean up high, down below and into awkward gaps.

The motorised floor tool for hard floors and carpets really saves your back with it’s easy manoeuvrability and handling. It turns this handheld “dust buster” style machine into an efficient,  cordless vacuum! The cleaner head articulates 180 degrees whilst maintaining contact with the floor. It means you can steer more easily around furniture and obstacles. It’s just 82mm high, so it gets in the low spaces under furniture. And it stays flat to the floor when pulling back and when the machine is reclined.

Simply detach the wand to use as a handheld unit for spot cleaning, upholstery and inside the car. (it was fantastic for the keyboard too)

The Dyson Digital Slim™ vacuum cleaner clicks into it’s docking station for convenient storage making it available in seconds. The lithium-ion battery can be charged either from the docking station or through an independent charger away from the vacuum.

3 days with the Dyson Digital Slim™ vacuum cleaner and I’m in LOVE… I’ve only had to drag the BIG vacuum out once a day now rather than 3-4 times!! It’s so quick and efficient I can have the mess cleaned up before the baby can make it worse! Another PRO is that there is no cord for little hands to touch.

It really is easy to empty and clean the filter and the long reach wand makes light work of sucking up those crumbs from the kids and suction is so good I can still suck up those deadly Lego blocks!! (if they’re left on the floor to potential cripple me via my feet I send them to Lego heaven ..lol)

One thing I have noticed is the “auto cut-off” after 15 minutes (or 6 on max). You tend to forget that when using the long reach wand and motorised floor tool despite the fantastic manoeuvrability and its ease of use that it’s not a BIG vacuum and it isn’t intended for a whole house vacuum clean. It’s super easy to get carried away with it’s use and before you know it you have done half the house and it’s cut off.
