Hi everyone and congratulations to all the fantastic mum businesses out there.

About 2 years ago I nearly had a nervous breakdown trying to get baby food out of all of those containers on the market so I created my own - Qubies. It's nearly 2 years on and Qubies are now being used for everything from breast milk and baby food to freezing lemon juice, mini panna cottas, herbs, sauces, anything that you want in a 30ml cube.

If you'd like any more info feel free to contact me :)

I dont' think I really appreciated how clever mums were till I became one myself!!!!! 6(^)6

1 Business

beinzstalk is a clothing and accessory label defined by simple styles that are transformed into unique creations with lots of colour, different textures, fun prints and embellishments. The range covers newborns to 10 years for girls and boys and keeps growing just like kids and beinzstalks do.

So named beinzstalk to reflect freshness, growth, sqiggly designs and new ideas. So spelled to reflect that I'm a Kiwi.

2a Inspired by:

- the challenge of coming up with new ideas

- my 9 years olds amazing sense of colour

- colours and textures all around

- current fashion trends and making them kid friendly

- sustainability and using/reusing what I already have

- The Uniform Project (www.theuniformproject.com) where one dress is being transformed every day by different accessories etc

2b Support

- My children who let me know what they think

- My customers when they give wonderful feedback

- My husband who reminds me of the commerical perspective

3 Tip

Do what you are passionate about. Accounting paid well but didn't provide the creative satisfaction I needed.

Hi,

Just entering for Fun Friday!

I have an Adelaide based Photography business, but I travel Australia wide a few times a year.

My business is only new, being first registered in November 2009 and has been going strong since!

I specialise in Maternity, Newborn, Candid Child, Family, Weddings and my new niche product is Cultural Portraits.

My style is more natural portraiture, but I do some posed shots too.

While my business is new I myself have been studying and practicing photography for 17 years.

I love children and babies, every time I see a child playing I see it as a photograph. I guess you could say that is my inspiration. Children grow so fast, so to capture the 'real' moments in their life is a real treasure to look back on in years to come!

The feedback I get from my customers is what keeps me going. Some feedback actually brings tears to my eyes knowing how appreciative they are of my work.

I have amazing support from my family, friends and my Facebook fans.

A friend and I are working together on a charity, it may not come to life for a year or two yet, but we will be using our creative talents and travelling to less fortunate countries and raising money to help the communities we visit. This was my inspiration for cultural portraits. Australia is a very mulit-cultural country and we should be PROUD! Not slandered in the media. I want to show how beautiful we can be as a nation if we work together, people migrate here because of the amazing things Australia has to offer that most of us take for granted.

Our little cultural journey in the future will hopefully get to enough people to change negative mindsets and remind us all of how lucky we really are and fundraising at the same time.

I'm hoping it's true, that one person can make a difference.

My tip to others is if you are passionate and you believe in yourself, you can do it!

Aim first for something that is within reach, once you have got hold of that aim for the stars!

Don't let people tell you, you can't, prove to them you can!

Research!

Find a niche, something to set you apart from the crowd and always allow room for growth!

Hey Jess, entering for fun friday :-D

1. what your mwwah business is and a brief explanation of what you do/sell etc ;

My business is called CeeBee Designs and I make and sell invitations, greeting cards and birth announcements all of which are handmade by myself. I try to make as little profit from it as possible after planning my own wedding and seeing the ridiculous amounts people charge.

2. Who or What inspires you in your business & who is your support and how do they help

My children inspire me, the business is named after them there names start with C (cee) and B (bee) they are why i am doing what i am doing. I love working for home so I can be there with them every minute of the day and still earn a little extra money to give them the best of what i can. My support would be my wonderful husband who has put up with tears, tantrums, triumphs and every other emotion that goes along with being a WAHM

3. What is 1 tip or piece of advice you would offer others.

The best advice I have that I have recently learnt myself is to never stop believing in yourself and give it your all. Don't give up if people try to bring you down just hold your head up high, keep your mouth shut, keep doing your own thing and you will go many places! Dont give up on your dreams ever, no matter what if you work for it you will get it!

(sorry thats ssooo long!)
